Location: the hotel was close to the train station, the rail station, grocery store, cafés, restaurants, town center, and the Beestenmarkt. We appreciated king room provided with balcony, bathtub, for example.

The location was excellent, as were the accommodation. After a month in Europe we were especially grateful for your comfortable bed and generous pillows. Our other accomodations ranged from apartment rentals, condo rentals, and luxury hotels, but the beds themselves lacked and yours was by far the most comfortable. As well, Jim accidently booked the single, when we noted that he had done so, and emailed to make the change, your response was reassuringly quick.
The water stains on the ceiling interfered with the ambiance of the room and could be easily fixed with paint. The only other thing I found a bit frustrating was the hotels reluctance to supply a blowdryer after 9:00 pm. Blowdryers only cost a few Euro, having one available 24 hours is necessary, and easily managed. We run a ski hill condo in Canada, supply a blowdryer and have never had a problem. The current system is less than welcoming. Other than that, I liked everything.

We visit our daughter in Leiden and wanted to stay on a hotel close to her. Mayflower was one near by. We had an "apartment" in 2 floor. The room was ok, but the stairs was extremly steep. There was a smell of sewer in the building all days, there was no exit if fire and a lot of noise from the street in the weekend. It is not a hotel for older people. We are passed 60 and have bad legs.

The location was excellent, the staff was very helpful, most could speak English, very close to trains.
It was difficult to find and to park our car. The hotel needs some updating

Mayflower Hotel provided a comfortable and well-equipped room with a beautiful view of the main square. the staff were friendly and accommodating, making my stay even more enjoyable. The central location made it easy to explore the city on foot, and the breakfast provided a good start to the day, with plenty of tea and coffee available. Cons: Nothing for me 😊.

Large rooms, usually very quiet, nearby the railway station and at the entrance of the old picturesque town. Free wifi.
The wifi was not always working correctly, days with, days without. It may not be particular to this hotel but I hate it when they throw away the piece of soap I have hardly started to use to put a new one every day and same for the shampoo bottle. They should use liquid soap dispensers or let us use the soap and shampoo to their end. What a waste!

Nicely located in central Leiden with a nice view. Breakfast and cleaning OK.
Grubby feel over it and has not been renovated for ages. Some of the furniture was literally falling apart and dangerous, and single glazing made my room noisy.

I recently stayed at a hotel in a central location with a fair-sized, clean room. The modern bathroom was a nice touch. The staff were helpful, making necessary arrangements. I would recommend this place for a comfortable stay.
